The Blue Tang, with its bright blue body and black markings, is one of the most popular species in marine aquariums. Also known as "Dory," this species is highly favored in reef aquariums due to its active swimming and striking colors.
In its natural habitat, it roams in schools in reef areas, feeding on algae and small planktonic organisms. Due to its continuous swimming behavior, it requires a spacious swimming area.
Points to Consider
- Requires a large aquarium with ample swimming space
- May be prone to white spot disease under stress
- Prefers strong water flow and high oxygen levels
- May exhibit territorial behavior towards similar Tang species
- Regular vegetable feed supplementation should be provided.
