The Blue Throat Triggerfish is one of the most aesthetic triggerfish species, with a bright blue stripe and yellow details in the throat area of male individuals. Females are more subdued in color. They are calmer and more open-water swimmers compared to other triggerfish species.

Considerations

• May eat small crustaceans if given the opportunity
• Requires ample swimming space and strong filtration
• A covered aquarium is recommended (moderate jumping risk)
• Calm but gets along better with large tank mates
