Dolabella auricularia is a large species of sea hare known for its strong algae consumption capacity. It is especially preferred as a natural cleaner in reef aquariums experiencing hair algae problems. It stands out with its soft body and interesting appearance.

It primarily feeds on algae. It can consume hair algae, film algae, and various microalgae intensively. If there is not enough algae in the aquarium, it should be supplemented with dried seaweed.

It is a completely peaceful and slow-moving creature. It roams on rocks and glass surfaces throughout the day, consuming algae. It does not harm reef inhabitants.
