Premnas biaculeatus is one of the largest and most dominant species among clownfish. The “Golden Maroon” form is a selectively bred variant with golden yellow patterns or lighter color variations on a red-orange body. It is a very striking but characteristically strong species.

- More than one maroon clownfish in the same tank usually causes problems
- May claim an anemone and become overly protective
